  1. What is Yank?
  2.  
  3. Yank is a shareware application that does two things:
  4.  
  5. 1) Cleans up your Preferences folder by moving outdated files to the Trash.
  6.  
  7. 2) Uninstalls an application and all files created by the application by moving them to the Trash.
  8.  
  9. Nothing is deleted — all files are moved to the Trash.
  10. Open the Trash folder and watch those unneeded files pile up!
  11.  
  12. Yank is a fat-binary application, which means it runs in native mode on a Power Mac, and it works on 68K Macs as well.  System 7 is required.

  18. • Choose between searching just the Startup volume, or all mounted volumes.
  19.  
  20. • Uninstall Control Panels as well as applications 
  21.  
  22. • You can move files from the Trash back to where they came from with the Finder's "Put Away" command:
  23. 1) Click on the files in the Trash that you want returned.
  24. 2) Select "Put Away" from the File menu (or type Command-Y).
